The St. Petersburg Outlet Store operated by Goodwill Industries-Suncoast, Inc. will reopen July 15 after closing in April due to Covid-19. The store is located at Goodwill’s headquarters complex at 10596 Gandy Blvd, next to a Goodwill retail store and business offices. It will reopen with the increased hours of 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., seven days a week. Measures will be in place to follow CDC safety guidelines and masks are required.
The wildly popular outlet is where “extreme thrifters” can purchase items by the pound that didn’t sell in Goodwill retail stores. Goodwill outlet stores in Lakeland and Ocala, which also closed in April, will not reopen. Merchandise from those locations will instead be available at the St. Petersburg outlet.
The outlet store is an important component of Goodwill’s commitment to sustainability – each year the organization collects millions of pounds of donations and about 85% of those items are reused or recycled.
Goodwill-Suncoast retail stores reopened in May with reduced hours, listed below.
Goodwill-Suncoast retail store hours
