In Brooksville, we are known for our month long Christmas celebrations. In the spirit of “Christmas In July”, we are getting festive a bit early!
A very special mistletoe will be hidden in Brooksville from July 5th – July 25th. We will provide clues daily to the public via our Brooksville Main Street Facebook page. The first person to locate the hidden mistletoe, take a photo with it and email the photo to us at HistoricDowntownBrooksville@gmail.com will win the prize for that day!
Throughout the month of July, participating businesses will have festive cocktails, special menu items, and decorate their establishments in a Christmas theme. We’ll even be holding a very special “Best Summer Santa Contest”!
On July 25th, WWJB Radio will be hitting the streets broadcasting live with interviews from local business owners as festive music plays at the courthouse. All month long while you are searching for the location of the mistletoe, be sure to stop in to visit our businesses. Shop at our unique stores, grab a bite to eat, create something with friends and family, or simply stop in to say hello. We are a community of friends, family and neighbors who could all use some encouragement these days.
New to the area? Be sure to stop by our brand new Brooksville Welcome Center located at 205 E. Fort Dade Ave., Brooksville, FL 34601 to discover all there is to see and do in the area, with helpful assistance by our friendly Florida’s Adventure Coast tourism staff.
Let’s bring the community together as we sprinkle a little love and Christmas magic over our city!
