After being isolated for several months, people are in need of a dose of art. In a secure environment, guests can now make a private appointment at Florida CraftArt to view exhibits and work by more than 250 of Florida’s best fine craft artists. Shoppers support artists with their purchases and help the creative economy recover.
While its doors are closed to the general public, Florida CraftArt’s staff is offering concierge shopping where guests may schedule a safe, one-on-one shopping experience. Appointments are made one at a time, so shoppers can be assured that they will have the gallery to themselves with one staff member to attend their needs. A touchless payment system has been installed for additional safety. Masks are worn by the staff, and guests will also be expected to wear a mask while in the gallery.
Private appointments may be made by calling the gallery at (727) 821-7391, or by emailing Liz@FloridaCraftArt.org. Appointments are available from Tuesday to Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Patrons who are unable to visit the gallery in person may purchase beautiful handmade creations virtually at FloridaCraftArt.org/shop. The gallery has updated its online shopping experience, and visitors will find a myriad of objects all made by a Florida artist. Discover all art pieces featured in current exhibitions, “Contemporary Fiber in Florida 2020” and “Members’ Show: Contemporary Craft at its Finest,” available for online purchase.
