ALTÍS GRAND CENTRAL Pivots to Virtual Leasing

The ultra-luxe, pedestrian-friendly residential community sees steady flow of leases during pandemic thanks to its timely virtual leasing strategies

TAMPA, FL (June 9, 2020) – The pandemic has disrupted businesses in every industry and caused them to update their business model to one that prioritizes clients’ health and safety. The Altman Companies, a nationally recognized developer, builder, and manager of exceptional rental apartment communities, has been able to convert their traffic stream into leases at the Altís Grand Central by quickly adapting to a virtual mode of operation, giving potential renters navigational tools to experience the lush interiors, upscale amenities and the downtown lifestyle from the comfort of their own computer.

While the leasing operation of some multifamily communities reported a decline in demand, this property maintained a steady flow of interest from renters desiring an upscale apartment living. Virtual videos and 360-degree images replaced in-person tours and were able to give prospective renters a sense of the downtown ultraluxe lifestyle offered at Altís Grand Central. With 314 sophisticated apartment homes and a pedestrian-friendly environment, Altís Grand Central offers the highest living standards through its unparalleled approach for providing residents an “Exceptional Living Experience”. Since the business shutdown order until May 31, Altis Grand Central had over 500 leads through email, phone calls, and texts resulting in 115 virtual tours. Thirty-five people moved in during this time period and 58 new leases were signed.

“We quickly pivoted to a model that would keep our associates, residents, and prospective-residents protected yet give potential renters the ability to experience an on-site comprehensive tour. With phase 1 re-opening, our team is taking extra precautions at Altís Grand Central to assist safely with in-person tours,” says Joel Altman, Chairman of The Altman Companies.

Those precautions include staff health questionnaires, required masks for associates, and appointment-only tours along with strict social distance practicing that has become the standard. Each apartment home is being sanitized after each in-person tour and doors sealed with a hygiene sticker broken only by the next prospective resident walking into the sanitized apartment.

At Altis, residents can enjoy Class-A amenities including a rooftop Skydeck with panoramic views of Downtown Tampa. The Skydeck gives residents the ability to relax in the sky lounge, take a dip in the rooftop saltwater, heated pool, enjoy the spa, sit by the fireplace, or lounge in one of the oversize daybeds as they enjoy the cityscape. The clubroom features a gaming area with a pinball machine, PlayStation units, a movie theater, a pool table, and a chic bowling lounge. There is also a 24-7 dog park on the 10th floor roof-top deck to give pet-owners the convenience of walking their dogs without leaving the building

The nine-story towers, located at 504 West Grand Central Avenue, are situated just south of the entrance to the University of Tampa and north of Tampa General Hospital, in an area that has become home to a collection of stylish dining, shopping and entertainment venues known as the Grand Central District. The leasing office is located onsite and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m, by appointment only.
