St. Petersburg, Florida, June 4, 2020 – Northside Hospital CEO, Valerie Powell-Stafford has been selected to join the Tampa Bay Go Red for Women Executive Leadership Cabinet. The cabinet is comprised of community leaders who volunteer in support of The American Heart Association and their Go Red for Women initiative.
Launched in 2004, Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to increase awareness of cardiovascular disease – the leading cause of death for women – and to inspire women to take charge of their heart health. This grassroots campaign is a vibrant and diverse national movement led by women and men committed to breaking their silence about the risk of cardiovascular disease to women. Our local, year-round campaign, celebrated at the annual Go Red for Women Luncheon and on National Wear Red Day, empowers women with the knowledge to reduce their risk of heart disease and to improve the health of our community.
The Go Red for Women Luncheon, that will be held on February 26, 2021 at Armature Works, will celebrate 17 years of lifesaving work on behalf of women. The Tampa Bay community’s most respected business, healthcare, civic and philanthropic leaders unite at the Luncheon to raise funds for continued research, education and outreach.
