Suffolk, one of the most innovative and successful builders and real estate enterprises in the country, announced it hired John Fall as CFO of Suffolk Southeast Region.
Fall will be responsible for leading Suffolk financial operations for the entire southeast region which includes office locations in Miami, West Palm Beach, Estero, and Tampa. Fall will leverage his leadership skills, financial, capital planning and technology experience and understanding of revenue and operations strategy to position Suffolk’s southeast region for sustainable growth and success.
“We are excited that John has joined the Suffolk family to lead our southeast region financial operations,” said Pete Tuffo, president of Suffolk’s southeast region. “John is a leader with unparalleled financial and operational experience that will allow us to strengthen our position and presence in the market.”
Before joining Suffolk, Fall held leadership positions at CSX Transportation, a $12 billion operating company providing rail-based transportation solutions throughout the Eastern U.S., for more than a decade. At CSX, Fall served in operations, commercial and corporate finance, as well as holding key positions including assistant vice president of technology, revenue strategy, and head of marketing for the industrial and agriculture segments. His industry experience also includes multiple assignments in the U.S and Europe as part of General Electric’s financial management program and corporate audit staff.
Fall is originally from Georgia and earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Georgia and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Earlier this year, Suffolk announced an expansion from its core business of construction into additional vertical service lines to create a fully-integrated platform that adds value for clients across the entire building lifecycle. The company also launched a new brand identity to reflect its broader future ambitions and unique position and capabilities in the industry.
