One Shareholder and Two Associates Join the Firm
June 1, 2020, TAMPA, FL – Trenam Law is pleased to welcome three attorneys to the firm. Shareholder Fredrick H.L. McClure joins the firm’s Commercial Litigation group. Brian R. Tunis joins as an associate in the firm’s Business Transactions group. And Alexander Zesch joins as an associate in the firm’s Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights group.

And we are excited to bring Alex on board after one of our Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights lawyers recently entered public service as a federal judge in the bankruptcy court. This is our second shareholder to be selected to serve as a bankruptcy judge in recent years.”
McClure is resident in Trenam’s Tampa office, and was most recently with DLA Piper’s Tampa and Miami offices for 18 years. McClure is an experienced trial lawyer with a concentration in complex product liability, consumer protection, employment, commercial and insurance coverage, and bad faith single plaintiff and class litigation, having tried many such cases to verdict in both bench and jury trials as lead counsel. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and is listed in Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Florida Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite and Florida Super Lawyers. McClure is a past president of The Tampa Club, and served as chairman of the board for the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. Serving on the Earlham College’s Board of Trustees and African-American Advisory Board, he is a member of Earlham’s Development Leadership Circle and funds two annual scholarships for African-American students in honor of two African-American staff members who mentored him during his years at Earlham, a liberal arts college founded by The Society of Friends in 1847. McClure received a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati and a B.A. from Earlham College.
Tunis is resident in Trenam’s Tampa office. He is experienced in handling mergers and acquisitions of varying structures and size. He advises business owners on matters related to the establishment, reorganization, structure, operation, and tax reporting requirements of their businesses. Tunis also counsels S-corporation officers, directors, and shareholders to ensure compliance with all S-corporation requirements. He provides counsel on wealth preservation, tax planning and business succession planning, working with businesses to create tax-efficient succession or exit plans. Tunis received a J.D., with honors, from The University of Iowa College of Law, and a B.B.A. from the University of Iowa.
Zesch, practicing in Trenam’s Tampa and. St. Petersburg offices, focuses his practice on bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, business law,. Earlier in his career, Zesch gained extensive experience practicing international arbitration in Frankfurt, Germany, and civil litigation in Florida, where he successfully represented both insurers and insureds through judicial resolution or negotiated favorable settlement agreements. Zesch has also worked as a journalist in Memphis, Tennessee, and for several years in the Tampa Bay region. Zesch received a J.D., with honors, from Stetson University College of Law and a B.A., with honors, from University of South Florida.
