Smoothies Fit For Space: Freeze-Dried Smoothie-N-Go Debuts in the U.S.

NASA-Inspired and Innovative Portable Product is Now Available Online

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (May 19, 2020) – Life is busy and sometimes, hunger just can’t wait. Enter Smoothie-N-Go: a portable smoothie drink chock-full of real fruits and vegetables and ready for a car ride, plane travel, or even on a mission to space.

Packaged when the produce inside is at its harvesting peak, Smoothie-N-Go is a small but mighty freeze-dried powder that does exactly what its name says: pour, shake and enjoy. Just like food eaten by astronauts, the gentle preservation method used for the mix allows it to be consumed for up to two years, maintaining all the while its flavor, color and nutritional value. Additionally, all brand products are vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, void of GMOs and additional sweeteners making them available to all regardless of allergies or dietary restrictions.

Launching May 26, Smoothie N-Go was started by two college best friends who were tired of the lack of healthy eating options. Peter Tari and Adam Sal turned to traditional, do-it-yourself smoothies for their morning breakfast for a quick and healthy meal – but, they soon found it more of a hassle to peel and cut fruits and vegetables while making sure to have access to a blender. Looking for something better, the duo discovered the freeze-drying process and knew they had to share the idea, not just with their friends, but with the world, and thus, Smoothie-N-Go was born.

“We know that the vast of majority of people don’t even have time in the day to sit down for a meal which is why we wanted to make our smoothies portable and easy to enjoy at any moment, wherever, and within 30 seconds or less,” said Adam Sal, co-founder of Smoothie-N-Go. “As we learned from our college days, the midday slump is all too real which is why all of our mixes are made from only real fruits and vegetables and nothing else.”

Recognizing that nearly half of all edible food is thrown away in the United States every single year, Sal and Tari wanted to do something to change that. Seeing the excess fruit and vegetables left over in their own fridge from making traditional smoothies, they couldn’t shake their guilt about wasting produce. With Smoothie-N-Go, every packet is perfectly portioned and condensed into a delicious mix, eliminating the need to purchase any additional ingredients that might otherwise spoil.

Smoothie-N-G0 is available in three flavors: Banana-Strawberry, Banana-Mango-Pineapple, and Flow (Superfood Blend) and are sold in subscription box options ranging from 12 packets to annual 360 daily packets, at under $3 per unit. The product will also soon be sold in supermarkets nationwide.

About Smoothie-N-Go Smoothie N-Go- is a delicious, innovative freeze-dried smoothie, offered in three delicious flavors. Started by two best friends, Smoothie-N-Go is meant to be enjoyed whenever, wherever, without the hassle. Available through either a one-time purchase or monthly subscription box order, a portion of sales from each 30-pack of smoothies sold will be donated to assist with providing otherwise wasted produce to those in need.
