St. Petersburg, FL — In March, Kozuba & Sons halted the production of their artisanal spirits to reallocate all resources to manufacture much-needed hand sanitizer for the community in the wake of COVID-19. The St. Petersburg-based craft distillery has been able to produce enough inventory to be able to now offer sanitizer for purchase to both the business community and the general public.
Following World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, Kozuba is producing the highest quality hand sanitizer containing the necessary 80 percent ethanol. They have also been certified by the FDA to produce hand sanitizer.
“When we shifted our production, we started out by giving sanitizer to first responders, healthcare facilities, and essential businesses,” said Matthias Kozuba, proprietor, “now that we have the logistics of contactless pickup figured out, we’re happy to further serve our community and make hand sanitizer available to the general public.”
Businesses seeking to purchase larger quantities of hand sanitizer can now order in bulk from the online retail store. Nonprofit organizations seeking donations, should complete the online request form.
The family-run business has generously donated their sanitizer to first responders and charities including CASA, St Pete Free Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, and The Ronald McDonald House, in addition to many other local nonprofits serving highly vulnerable populations. “The need for sanitizer has been overwhelming and we are thrilled that we have been able to help our neighbors in this way,” said Kozuba. “So many people have asked us how they can help support us in return. As a local small business, we ask the public to support us by making purchases through our retail shop, reviewing us online, and engaging with us on social media.”
In order to allow for safe distribution of spirits and adhere to COVID-19 social distancing protocols, Kozuba is offering online ordering with contactless curbside pickup.
