Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) will continue remote operations and all campuses will remain closed to students, the public and most employees through June 1, 2020. The decision, announced yesterday to employees and students, extends the college’s work and study from home policies in effect since March 18. All spring term campus-based courses transitioned to online learning platforms on March 30.
“Our first priority is the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff,” said PHSC President Timothy L. Beard, Ph.D. “We continue to rely on the recommendations of state health and education officials and closely monitor COVID-19 cases in our district. Our pro-active decision to continue remote operations is a health measure that will support plans to re-open when it is safe to do so.”
Student services, advising, admissions, financial aid, library, tutoring and other college services remain available. Employees are accessible via phone, email and virtual platforms.
A virtual commencement ceremony for spring semester gradates will be hosted on the college’s website on May 26.
Registration for online summer classes is underway and information regarding fall semester classes will be announced as soon as possible. For more information, visit phsc.edu or call PHSC’s Information Center at 1-855-NOW-PHSC.
