Colliers International broker Nancy Erickson, who for years has been one of the Northeast’s top retail brokers, has joined the Tampa Bay retail team as Executive Managing Director, Retail Services.
Erickson brings over 25 years of high-level experience to her new role, working with national retailers on major assignments and serving as Executive Managing Director in Colliers’ New York Tri-State office in Parsippany, New Jersey.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Nancy to the west-central Florida team,” said Danny Rice, Managing Director and Market Leader, Colliers Central Florida. “Nancy has hit the ground running and is already busy making deals alongside several of our brokers. Her extensive experience and knowledge will be of tremendous benefit to Colliers in Florida.”
Erickson joined Colliers International in January 2016 as Executive Managing Director with 25 years’ experience in commercial real estate. Her national tenant representation includes working on hundreds of rollouts, lease negotiations, rent restructurings and dispositions.
In the Tri-State area, Erickson managed some of the most prominent landlord assignments, including Bell Works in Holmdel, 525 Broad Street in Newark, Plaza at Harmon Meadow in Secaucus, Valley & Bloom in Montclair, Streets of Chester and Harrison Yards, Riverhead Center, among many others.
Currently, she represents retailers such as Ruth’s Chris, Madison Reed, 99 Ranch, Benihana, AT&T, Speedway, Kiddie Academy and IHOP, among others.
“Her knowledge of the markets nationally, teaming partnerships and developer relationships around the country are exemplary, and she provides much more than the required services,” said Beth Stute, Head of Development and Real Estate, Benihana, formerly with Ruth’s Chris. “She has been much more like a partner, not just a broker.”
Prior to joining Colliers International, she was a Senior Director in the Cushman & Wakefield New York office and later formed, led and grew the firm’s New Jersey retail sector, where she was named the highest producing Director and Senior Director.
“I am excited to work under the management and direction of Ryan Kratz and Danny Rice in the Florida market,” said Erickson. “I look forward to helping my existing clients grow and developing new relationships alongside the exceptional professionals who have driven Colliers’ success in Florida.”
Nancy has held positions on Collier’s national retail leadership board and has been named one of Colliers’ highest-earning retail brokers. She has also been recognized as a CoStar Top Performer multiple times.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Kean University and a Master of Business Administration from Monmouth University. Also, she has served as a board member for CREW and is a licensed real estate broker in New York, New Jersey and Florida.
