Southeastern Guide Dogs was the February “Charity of the Month” at the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office. Southeastern Guide Dogs develops relationships between people and dogs. They train dogs for people who are blind or have other severe visually impairments and for veterans with post-traumatic stress syndrome and other disabilities. Southeastern Guide Dogs does not receive any government funding nor do they charge for their services. The organization needs donations to operate.
“During the charitable giving campaign generous members of the community donated $6,300 to support this fantastic program,” comments Pasco Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “On behalf of the staff of our five offices who worked hard to raise these funds please accept our thanks for helping this fine organization which relies so much on the generosity of individuals and other organizations to survive.”
