Colliers International’s statewide Development Services Division is expanding its project management capabilities in Florida with two key new hires. Todd Maklary joins Colliers International as Director of Development Services, and Mike Piscitelli joins the company as Project Manager.
Based out of Colliers’ Tampa office, they will provide project management services to owners, associations, real estate developers and real estate investment trusts in the Tampa Bay, Central Florida and Southwest Florida markets.
Adding to an existing eight-person project management team in Florida, the Development Services Division allows Colliers to offer a one-stop-shop service to clients, from initial site selection to final tenant move-in. The division, which launched in Miami in May 2019, manages ground-up construction, exterior building enhancements, interior renovations and predevelopment on behalf of third-party clients.
“Project management is complementary to Colliers’ brokerage and property management business,” said Greg Main-Baillie, Executive Managing Director of the Development Services Division. “We always intended to grow our division throughout Florida, and bringing Todd and Mike to the team expands our ability to serve clients in key markets.”
Colliers’ Development Services Division is currently working on several tenant improvement projects in Tampa Bay, including a new regional office for CEMEX at Park Center in Tampa and an Armed Forces location at the Shoppes of Amberly in New Tampa.
Notable projects in South Florida that the division has been involved in include condominium renovations for Brickell Key I and The Carriage House, and The Lincoln Office Building renovation.
Todd Maklary
Prior to joining Colliers, Maklary was most recently Senior Project Manager at CBRE Group in Tampa, where he represented Citi Group as owner’s liaison in all aspects of commercial construction projects throughout Florida and adjacent states. He has held various senior project manager positions for commercial real estate brokerage firms and construction companies for nearly 20 years. He has directly managed projects valued between $500,000 and over $75 million in multiple states and geographic regions.
Maklary holds a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering with a Construction Management Option from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master in Business Administration with a Management Concentration from Rider University. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), is OSHA 30 Certified, and holds the U.S. Green Building Council LEED AP BD+C Accreditation and a Florida Building General Contractors License. He is also currently a City Councilman for the City of Port Richey.
“My background is very diverse, in terms of the construction sectors I’ve served and the wide range of experiences I’ve gained in the construction process, from project conception to land development to facility management,” Maklary said. “Colliers has a great reputation in the industry and embraces an entrepreneurial spirit among its team members. I’m very excited to work with them in this new division.”
Mike Piscitelli
Piscitelli has over 20 years’ experience as a senior construction and real estate development executive. Prior to joining Colliers, he was most recently Senior Project Manager at RP Construction and Development in St. Petersburg. His expertise spans a wide range of areas, including site identification, entitlements, design, permitting, construction, and delivery of big box, strip plaza, office, medical, retail and multi-family renovation, from conceptualization to execution. He has worked with private and national brands, and has worked as a Senior Project Manager for owners, general contractors and developers.
Piscitelli holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Connecticut State University. He is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).
“Colliers’ excellent reputation proceeds itself – the corporate culture, the commitment to their clients and sectors served are second to none in the industry,” Piscitelli said. “As such, I’ve always wanted to join the Colliers team for both professional and personal reasons, and I aim to have a positive impact as I begin to serve our clients’ needs and become an integral part of the team.”
