SARASOTA, Fla. — Aviva: a Campus for Senior Life, a not-for-profit senior living community, recently added Ann Logan to its team as its chief development officer.
With more than 20 years of experience in the arts and nonprofit sectors, Logan has a record of success in major gifts, planned giving and annual funding and events.
In her new role, she will serve as the organization’s major gift fundraiser, develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising and marketing plan in partnership with the CEO, manage an ongoing annual giving program, oversee all special events, act as an advocate for the agency to promote the mission and goals and cultivate and steward its donors and prospects.
Talent management company MBJ Group led the nonprofit’s search for the position.

Prior to joining Avia, Logan led the philanthropy efforts as the chief development officer at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. During her 10-year tenure there, her work led to the elimination of debt, the fully funded Ann Goldstein Children’s Rainforest Garden and significant gains in the funding of the nonprofit’s master plan, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens’ roadmap to future growth.
Logan also served as the former executive director of the Sarasota Ballet, where she led the company to solvency and coordinated a major transition in artists’ direction.
“For the past 15 years, my energies have been devoted to philanthropy in the arts and culture,” said Logan, who has been a Siesta Key resident for 32 years. “The opportunity with Aviva is different and closely aligns with my current priorities. I am grateful for this chance to support efforts to advance initiatives in residential care for our aging populations, assist those afflicted with memory debility and add to the quality of geriatric life.”
An alumna of Rhode Island School of Design, Logan earned a bachelor’s degree in fine art. She has lived in Chicago, Rockford Illinois, Providence, Rhode Island, Mexico City and New York City.
