CLIMATE MIGRATION The next installment of the iCAR Climate Change speaker series will feature Dr. Mathew Hauer, assistant professor of sociology at Florida State University, who will discuss the impact of climate migration. DANCE MARATHON Come out for USF St. Petersburg’s fifth annual Miracle Dance Marathon. Last year, students raised over $10,000. This year they hope to surpass that total. Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement involving college and high school students at more than 250 schools across the country, all raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their community. Help the USFSP community raise money and awareness nationally for the Children’s Miracle Network and locally for All Children’s Hospital. THEATRE WEEKDance, comedy and more will be performed during USF St. Petersburg’s Short & Sweet Theatre Week. The second annual event will showcase works written, directed and performed by local and professional artists and actors, featuring six original performances that will run between 10 and 60 minutes. PITCH NIGHTSt. Pete Pitch Night returns to campus to showcase, elevate and seed community-based businesses ready to make an impact. We will celebrate our entrepreneurial community while cheering on a friendly competition between five selected entrepreneurs for $5,000 in prize money. Each participant will be given six minutes for their pitch, followed by a six minute question and answer session. INTERFAITH CONVERSATION Wisdom teachers from a variety of faith traditions will gather to share, compare and explore the perspectives and possibilities of interfaith understanding. Reverend Susan Sherwood will serve as Moderator in a conversation with Dr. Frank Tedesco (Buddhism), Reverend Kim Wells (Christianity), Rabbi Philip Weintraub (Judaism), and Imam Saad Slaoui (Al-Islam).
