Known as one of the premier events of its kind and one of the largest in the State of Florida, the day includes a delicious breakfast, commemorative giveaways, lunch, and our awards ceremony. Participants and spectators will also have the opportunity to partake in the card draw for a chance to win fabulous prizes including outdoor equipment, airline tickets and more. Major sponsors for the event include Absolutely Amazing Refinishing and Publix Super Markets Charities.
Thanks to the hard work of the volunteer event committee and the continuing support of the Schwarzkopf family, this event has raised over $2 million for Children’s Home Network since 1995. Following General Schwarzkopf’s untimely passing in late 2012, it was warmly and unanimously decided to rename this event in his honor.
The Children’s Home Network’s residential treatment program, Kids Village, specialize in children ages 6 to 17, who are victims of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. The Children’s Home Network provides a warm and nurturing environment for the boys and girls in our care, who are encouraged to discover their interests, develop their curiosities, and understand their past in order to heal and thrive.
The Children’s Home Network is Tampa’s oldest continuously run charity, founded in 1892. With the generous help of the residents of Tampa Bay, it has been our honor to be a safe haven for abused, abandoned and neglected children for over 127 years. We remain committed to healing children from the trauma of abuse and neglect.
We look forward to a day of fun at the 26th Annual General H. Norman Schwarzkopf Memorial Sporting Clays Classic, Benefiting Children’s Home Network! Team registration and individual sign-up are still available. To learn more about the Sporting Clays Classic, or to register for the event, visit www.childrenshomenetwork.org/scteam.
