MedFleet Ambulance Service (“MedFleet”) has been acquired by PatientCare Logistics Solutions (“PatientCare”), a leading nationwide provider of emergency and non-emergency ambulance services based in Tyler, Texas. PatientCare has operations in the Northeast, Central, Midwestern and Southeastern United States. MedFleet’s acquisition represents a significant step in pursuing the growth strategy of PatientCare.
The Williams family, under the leadership of Andrew, John, Bud, and Clifton Williams owned and operated MedFleet since May of 1993, when it they bought PTS Ambulance, which had served the citizens of Pasco County since 1973 and renamed it MedFleet. MedFleet currently operates twenty-five ambulances throughout Pasco, Hernando and Polk Counties providing over 30,000 annual transports. The company will maintain the name of MedFleet and continue to serve all of the same communities under the leadership of Chief Operating Officer Andrew Williams.
PatientCare will support MedFleet with its best-in-class technology and extensive managerial resources to enhance operational performance and efficiency.
