Saint Petersburg, FL — An interactive print party with READ Movement visits Venus for one night only, on Friday, Jan. 31 from 5 to 9 p.m.
Purchase limited-edition READ prints, tees and totes—or bring your own and have it printed on-site for just $15—and READ Movement will donate 10 percent of all sales to Justice Studio, the only in-house art studio program at two Tampa Bay area juvenile detention facilities.
We will also be accepting direct donations to support this amazing local cause. Justice Studio began when artists from the nonprofit NOMADstudio learned that youth in detention had no free access to writing, drawing or art materials during their time in custody. The NOMAD team agreed that detained youth are especially in need of an outlet for creative expression. Three days a week, Justice Studio provides tools, supplies, and guidance for these youth to work on independent and group art projects.
Come to Venus on Jan. 31 and shop to support, while enjoying live art demos, fine musical vibes from DJ Mike Blenda, donation bar and snacks.
