This is a juried show for artists open to artists of all backgrounds and media.  Valentwe’en is a hybrid Valetine’s Day-Hallowe’en mash up also known as “Second Hallowe’en”.  Themes should run along the lines of gothic romance with a mix of humor (think Addams Family).  Since this year is 2020, artists are encouraged to produce art with a special focus on eyes.  Dr. Paul Bearer will be our MC and judge for the show.

Please send images for consideration to Brandy Stark at stark_brandy@hotmail.com by January 25th.  Accepted works will have a $5 entry fee for each accepted work.

Awards are for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, a Most Spirited Award, and a People’s Choice Award.  Awards will be presented at 7:30 PM on the night of the reception.

Like last year, artists should try to attend the reception.  Please wear your best Gothic Romanic gear or dress as your favorite gothic/romantic couple (Audrey and Seymour, anyone?)

Artist is responsible for show wall text materials.  Please provide an art card that is approximately 3’ x  2’ and use sample format, with  Helvetica,14 point font.  Please attach the card to the work.  Artists may also leave a business card to hang with the title card.
