Computer Mentors Seeking Software Development Volunteers for Teen Business Challenge Event

Computer Mentors (CM), a local Tampa “Digital Divide” non-profit, is seeking a set of software development volunteers to assist teens to develop an app during the Teen Business Challenge (TBC) event in February. TBC is a business plan/hack-a-thon competition for teens. This is the 6th annual event sponsored by Citi and Connectwise. The event runs through the weekend of February 21st through 23rd. Developers are asked to assist the competing teenagers create a phone app that demonstrates their business idea. Potential volunteers are asked to register on the CM website and attend a meeting on Dec. 11th at the John F. Germany Public Library downtown Tampa, 6pm to 7pm or contact Ralph Smith directly at RSmith@computermentors.org.
