Spring Hill, Florida (November 25, 2019) – Michael W. Higgins, DO, FAOAO (Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics), recently attended the 2019 AOAO annual fall meeting at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Higgins was recently recognized by the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics as a fellow and now uses the credentials FAOAO. Dr. Higgins is a Senior Board Examiner for the for the AOAO and provides training for residents in the Oak Hill Hospital Graduate Medical Education Program.
Dr. Higgins is a Florida native and is a graduate of the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in North Miami Beach. He completed his spinal surgery fellowship at the prestigious New York University/Hospital for Joint Diseases. Dr. Higgins completed his residency at Peninsula Hospital Consortium in New York. Prior to his residency he served as Chief Intern at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida.
