LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – November 26, 2019 – Neal Communities has made a $1,000 donation to support Sisters Sowing Seeds, a nonprofit organization that empowers teen girls in the community.
Founded by Monica Donley, a Senior Accountant with Neal Communities, the organization was established in 2015 to empower teen girls and young women. Donley reaches teen girls through school partnerships and community events encompassing group sessions, informative workshops and social activities.
Most recently, Donley has partnered with Braden River Middle School for a six-week in-school program. The in-school program provides workshops in various topics, a supportive atmosphere and exposure to opportunities for the young women’s futures.
“Sisters Sowing Seeds is a vision that I had over 20 years ago,” said Donley. “I officially launched the organization four years ago and it’s grown into a supportive atmosphere for teen girls that teaches important values like goal setting and self-esteem.”
In addition to the in-school program, Sisters Sowing Seeds offers community events each month where participants gather to discuss topics ranging from budgeting and relationships to maintaining motivation in school or at work.
The Neal Communities donation supports the curriculum development for both the in-school program and community events for Sisters Sowing Seeds.
