Your Real Stories presents Off The Wall on November 26 at the ArtsXchange. “Live performances in intimate settings based on local stories that bridge the human experience,” this month’s theatrical journalism storytelling event features a script based on an interview with St. Petersburg resident, Neil Broome.
Neil is one of the original members of ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) which was formed in 1987 at the Lesbian and Gay Community Services Center in New York City, and has worked as a social worker for over 25 years. He and his husband have been together for 16 years and married for six.
The script will be performed by actor Larry Alexander. Larry has been featured at American Stage and freeFall Theatre in St, Petersburg, and at regional theaters throughout Florida. He also was in the original cast of Les Miserables on Broadway. Following the performance, Neil will join Your Real Stories onstage for a moderated discussion with the audience.
