Why are people in Tampa Bay downloading a sketch comedy podcast from London, England?
Release The Clowns Sketch Comedy Podcast is 15 minutes of quickfire comedy sketches that follow a simple formula: Life – (Boring+Serious+Sad) = Funny
The result is a radio comedy sketch show with a modern twist that comes out as a podcast every other Monday.
And it’s a formula that works. After two years of podcasting, we’ve gained fans in over 75 countries around the world. And, of course, Florida/
But what gives us such worldwide appeal?
Could it be our deliberately uncomplicated approach to comedy? If someone needs an anvil dropping on their head, we do it!
Could it be that we are not afraid to be downright silly? Sketches have included: the gerbil maternity ward; the Godfather’s ventriloquism act; and health and safety tips for vampires.
Could it be because we take real care over our soundscape? Our production standards are a match for any network show even though we record the podcast in someone’s laundry room.
Whatever it is, we’ve seen our worldwide audience more than doubling year on year since we started in 2017.
So, who are we? We’re a tight-knit group of comedy writers and performers based in London, England. You might even say we’re unique – what other comedy team spans 3 generations from age 24 to 65? We are united by a love of making comedy without compromise. We’re 100% independent, 100% committed to making people laugh and 2% gluten free.
Now we’re ready to launch Season 3 of Release The Clowns Sketch Comedy Podcast on Monday 25th November 2019.
Release The Clowns Sketch Comedy Podcast – it’s like a pocketful of Acme exploding golf balls.
