The multigenerational model is a “green” home with a second master suite
TAMPA, FL — William Ryan Homes has earned a 2019 Tampa Bay Parade of Homes award for its multigenerational home called the “Jensen,” which is designed to comfortably accommodate multiple family generations under one roof.
The Jensen has a true second master suite with features like dual vanities, walk-in closet, and large Roman walk-in shower. The 4-bedroom floorplan still provides a guest bedroom. It also has a three-car garage and is on a larger lot (minimum width of 65 feet), providing additional space outside the home as well.
The 2019 Tampa Bay Parade of Homes competition included nearly 30 production and custom homebuilders of communities in Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties. The Jensen was an award winner in the $450,000-$499,000 category. http://www.tampabayparadeofhomes.com/winners/
“We are meeting the growing demand in Tampa for multigenerational living with our award-winning Jensen model,” said Jeff Thorson, William Ryan Homes Tampa Division President. “We are proud to win a Parade of Homes award, which reflects the quality of our designs and craftsmanship.”
The number of Americans living in multigenerational family households has hit record highs, with more Americans choosing multigenerational homes to accommodate grandparents, grown children and other relatives. Multigenerational living is defined as including two or more adult generations, or including grandparents and grandchildren younger than 25, according to Pew Research Center.
William Ryan Homes truly understands multigenerational living. As an example of the thinking that goes into the design of these homes, the home needs to have a separate entrance for the second master suite, Thorson said, but also needs to have a great room that is large enough for the whole family. The primary buyers of the Jensen model are people in their 40s and 50s with children and with one or both of their parents living with them – three generations under one large roof.
The Jensen multigenerational living model is also a “green” home, meeting high standards of energy efficiency and sustainability. In fact, William Ryan Homes is becoming one of the top homebuilders of NGBS green-certified homes in Tampa, having either completed or in the process of finishing nearly 500 “green” homes since 2016. https://www.williamryanhomes.com/blog/going-green-is-easy-with-william-ryan-homes
“We work with homebuyers to build a multigenerational home that also is an eco-friendly dwelling that enhances living comfort with lower energy costs,” Thorson said.
