The Dawson Academy has announced the locations of its six mini-residencies to be held in 2020. The 2020 mini-residencies, which teach dentists how to solve complex dental problems, will be held in Branson, Missouri; Dallas, Texas; Dayton, Ohio; East Hanover, New Jersey; St. Petersburg, Florida; and Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The Dawson Academy’s interactive courses and mini-residencies advance dental professionals’ knowledge and skills while guiding them in implementing the “Concepts of Complete Dentistry” in their practices. During the mini-residencies, dental professionals will experience hands-on clinical learning, one-on-one instruction, and lessons in a group setting on how to:
• Treat patients’ pain and restore lost smiles while spending less time in the office by minimizing failures and costly mistakes.
• Increase practice revenue with complex cases.
• Improve efficiency and predictability during the examination, treatment planning, case planning and lab communication process.
Taught by internationally known dentists, each mini-residency is limited to only 20 dentists, allowing for individual attention and hands-on instruction on topics like occlusion, treatment planning and anterior esthetics. The small course sizes and group discussions also foster an environment to build bigger peer networks, which benefit dentists beyond the classroom.
Expert faculty members who teach the mini-residencies, like Drs. John Cranham, Andrew Cobb and Lenny Hess, will also be available throughout the course to support the members in implementation and clinical success.
Each mini-residency begins in spring 2020 and consists of seven courses:
• Two online lectures,
• Four hands-on courses completed at each mini-residency location, and
• One in-person lecture in St. Petersburg/Clearwater Beach, Florida.
