Lemon Drop to Feature Debut of New C&C Lemonade Factory Stand

November 7, 2019 by Post

The new “C&C Lemonade Factory” lemonade stand will make its exclusive debut with 5 year old Caroline Gallagher on Saturday November 9th at the 5th Annual Lemon Drop cocktail party and silent auction event at NOVA 535 in Downtown St. Petersburg (535 Dr. MLK Jr. Street North) presented by Northwestern Mutual–Greater Tampa Bay Community Action Committee to raise funds for pediatric cancer research. The Lemon Drop runs from 7-11pm and with limited tickets remaining. The proceeds from this event will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.

This year marks the fifth year of the Lemon Drop hosted by Northwestern Mutual–Greater Tampa Bay Community Action Committee. The event features music, food and drinks, including the signature “Lemon Drop” cocktail. In addition to fundraising from ticket sales, there will be a silent auction, live auction, a 50/50 raffle and additional giving opportunities. “This year the event looks to be bigger than ever”, states Angie Leonetti of Northwestern Mutual. “We are fortunate to have such a supportive community with record sponsorships and high demand for ticket sales, said Leonetti.

Caroline was diagnosed with leukemia when she was just 18 months old. After two and a half years of treatment she beat cancer. Caroline is currently a happy 5 year old enjoying kindergarten. For the past three years Caroline, along with her younger sister Charlotte, have held lemonade stand fundraisers to support childhood cancer. This past June the “C&C Lemonade Factory” raised over $13,000 with 100% of the proceeds going to childhood cancer research at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Caroline is committed to making a difference to helping her friends who are currently treating at All Children’s and supporting all childhood cancer warriors fighting this terrible disease. At the Lemon Drop, Caroline will be serving lemonade from her new C&C Lemonade Factory stand, built by local viewers in response to learning of her mission through a news story.
