The City of St. Pete Beach Online Inspection Request Program to Launch November 15th, 2019

October 30, 2019 by Post

The City of St. Pete Beach will be offering a new and more efficient way for contractors to request for building inspections.  Found on the city website under “Community Development”, one can request for inspections with a simple click of a mouse.

Information Needed to Request Inspection – Contractors will need a web-code to request for inspection. Call Community Development (727-363-9214) or visit City Hall to attain a web-code.

Another exciting component to the program, citizens can view what building permits have been issued within the city dating back to 2001.

This program is all web-based, users will not need to download any programs to utilize this new service.  The program is free to contractors and the public.

Currently individuals requesting for inspections use a 24 hour phone line to request for the inspection.

The 24 hour building inspection request line (727)363-9240, will eventually be phased out.

In Phase II of the program, contractors will be able to initiate the permit process online.  This is scheduled be available in the coming months.  One will still need to visit City Hall to acquire the Placard for posting.  Placards will not be available online.
