Lt. Col. N’Keiba Estelle Anoints Rebekah Nault as Honorary Commander

Rebekah Nault Will Serve as Community Liaison in High-Profile Role

Tampa, FL (October 30, 2019) – Rebekah Nault, an account manager at PBX-Change, was appointed as Honorary Commander to MacDill AFB’s 6th Air Mobility Wing’s Communications Squadron. Only thirty-seven local civic leaders will hold the prestigious title, each serving a two-year term.

Participants are partnered with wing commanders, group commanders, command chiefs, and squadron commanders and will have the opportunity to observe and participate in activities such as award ceremonies, change of commands, and training exercises during their two-year term. The mission of the Honorary Commanders Program is to educate key community leaders about a unit’s mission and to foster a supportive relationship with the community,

“I believe strongly in Tampa’s Military community and am honored to be a part of their mission to build a supportive relationship with the community. In my role as Honorary Commander, I will seek to increase military involvement in civic endeavors with local organizations and to connect members of the local community into the MacDill 6th AMW family,” says Nault.

Nault will work closely with Lt. Col. N’Keiba Estelle, the Squadron leader and also a Gold Star Wife, to increase military involvement in civic endeavors and organizations and make members of the local community feel part of the unit.

Community leaders were on hand as Team MacDill inducted the latest group of 927th Air Refueling Wing and 6th Air Mobility Wing Honorary Commanders during a ceremony held at the Davis Conference Center, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. The ceremony resembled a traditional military assumption or change of command ceremony, with the wing, group or squadron commander taking center stage and presenting their honorary commander with their respective guidon.
