Westshore Alliance Launches Second Districtwide Worker & Resident Study

October 28, 2019 by Post

Tampa, Fla. (October 29, 2019) – The Westshore Alliance is conducting the second districtwide Westshore worker and resident survey to gain further understanding of perceptions and interests and refine the overall vision for the future of the district.
The research is conducted once again to record the changes in the district’s growth and development during the last two years. With its immediate access to Tampa International Airport, a workforce of approximately 100,000, world-class shopping, entertainment and restaurants, the number of people who call Westshore home has flourished.
Following the inaugural survey’s results, the district was able to address the wants and needs of workers and residents as their concerns were voiced.
“Survey results in 2017 highlighted a need for grocery options and we are pleased to announce that Publix is coming to Kennedy Blvd. in 2020,” said Westshore Alliance Executive Director Ann Kulig. “Greenspace and additional walkability were also top concerns for people who live and work in the District and as a result, the Transportation Action Plan includes 104 pedestrian and bike-friendly projects.”

The survey is now accessible at www.choosewestshore.com/survey. Partakers can complete the survey in approximately 10 minutes and may choose to enter a drawing for several gift cards. Answers are anonymous, and no follow up will be requested. The survey will remain live through November and reports will be published in Q1 of 2020.
