The St. Pete Arts Alliance is proud to present Third Thursday Morning Art Leadership Forums!
On November 21, fine artist, muralist and entrepreneur Bekky Beukes will take audience members through a morning of Growth and The Process of Transformation during “Shedding Skin”. “Growth occurs when bones shatter, passion ignites purpose when a heart explodes. Lessons are learned when floodgates fail…’ – Beukes speaks on the subject of growth and the value of rebirth; from necessary periods of solitude and isolation that inspire moments of reflection to the final stages of understanding that induce transformation both internally and externally.” Bekky is known for emotionally-charged work that’s fueled by her fascination with internal and external chaos.
Join us as our speaker presents in an informal “Ted Talk” style with plenty of time for Q&A from non-profit and for-profit creative audience members. Elevate your personal and city-wide thought leadership with us!
Beukes has exhibited in over 30 shows, received four awards and has been a published artist since 2015. With a signature style that is instantly recognizable, her work is widely covered by local and national media from Creative Loafing and Tampa Bay Times to ‘The Penny Hoarder’, Oregon’s ‘Out of Steps’ books and New York’s ‘INSIGHT’ Magazine. Her most recent mural is located at Red Mesa Mercado + Green Bench Brewery on 1st St in St Pete.
