
Tampa, Fla. – The Kiwanis Club of Tampa along with The Kiwanis Foundation are hosting their 51st Annual Chicken BBQ Fundraiser in partnership with Metropolitan Ministries’ Inside the Box catering on Thursday, October 17th between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 each.
To purchase BBQ tickets, go to www.tampakiwanis.org/bbq/ or contact a Kiwanis Club of Tampa member. Pick up is available at 601 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. between 11:00am – 3:00pm. Our Downtown Pedestrian Pickup is at One Mack – Cali Building located at 501 E. Kennedy Blvd. corner of Morgan Street between the hours of 11:15am – 1:30pm.
“Every year, the Kiwanis Club of Tampa has sponsored this major fundraiser – a Chicken Barbecue – for the benefit of many charitable organizations in our area,” explains Diane Zuckerman, Tampa Kiwanis Vice President, 2019 BBQ Chair. “Our Tampa Kiwanis Foundation gives more than $120,000 annually to our local community in grants to local charities, ramps for the disabled, senior centers of
Hillsborough County, local service leadership programs at USF, nine local high schools, seven elementary schools, among other great organizations. Our Tampa Kiwanis Foundation recently awarded a $100,000 grant to The Evolution Institute as part of our celebration of our 100th year anniversary.”
The Kiwanis Club of Tampa was organized a hundred years ago in 1919 as the first Kiwanis Club in Florida and their members pride themselves on their “hands-on” philosophy of civic involvement and community outreach.
