Manatee County Clerk of Court’s Child Support Division holds informational sessions

October 12, 2019 by Post

BRADENTON, Fla. — This month, the Child Support Division through the Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller is holding its quarterly outreach efforts with two informational sessions at The Boys and Girls Clubs of Manatee County locations.

Staff will appear at the Desoto Club at 5236 34th St. W. in Bradenton on Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 4 – 6 p.m. and the Palmetto Club at 1600 10th St. W. in Palmetto on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 4 – 6 p.m. These after-hours meetings provide parents who are unable to appear at the office during regular business hours a chance to talk with staff to resolve their current issues.

“Our team has found that parents in the community are extremely grateful for this service,” said Angel Colonneso, Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller. “We hope to help foster better relationships not only between families but also with the Clerk’s office as well.”

The Manatee County Clerk of Court’s Child Support Division provides comprehensive case management, such as establishing paternity and obtaining, enforcing and changing child support orders. There is no cost to apply for these services.

The office has a variety of tools available, including legal actions, administrative enforcement, license suspensions, intercepts of unemployment compensation and worker’s compensation, wage garnishment, IRS tax returns, credit reporting and cooperative actions between other states and countries.
