
Tampa, Fla. – The University Area CDC (Community Development Corporation) has promoted Jaree Ervin as Chief Development Officer.
“Jaree’s experience and infectious, mission-driven personality are an important addition to our senior leadership team,” said Sarah Combs, University Area CDC chief executive officer. “Her passion for seeking like-minded partnerships for our core mission of community development in the Uptown/University Area is contagious. I’m excited to see how she will elevate and leverage established and new relationships in order for us to create collective impact.”
Ervin formerly served as director of development at University Area CDC. Prior to joining University Area CDC, Ervin served as vice president of development for the Indianapolis Urban League and as director of development for the Indiana Network for Higher Education Ministries. Ervin also served as a research associate for the Indiana University Public Policy Institute.
Ervin received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, and she is a graduate of the Lilly School of Philanthropy with a Masters of Philanthropic Studies. She is certified in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) from Indiana University’s The Fund Raising School, and is certified in Nonprofit Management (CNPM) from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Additionally, she is certified nationally through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance as a Certified Nonprofit Professional and internationally certified in fundraising as Certified Fund Raising Executive through CFRE International.
University Area CDC, celebrating more than 20 years of serving the community, offers support for thousands of Tampa residents through youth programs, adult education and resource assistance.
