FREE COMMUNITY SHRED DAY TO BE HELD OCTOBER 19

Tampa, FL (September 20, 2019) To promote personal financial safety, Tampa Bay Federal is hosting a Community Shred Day with electronics recycling on Saturday, October 19, 2019. A mobile shredding truck from Shred 360 will be on-site at Tampa Bay Federal Seffner Service Center located at 11210 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd Seffner, FL 33584 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. In addition to free shredding, Tampa Bay Federal has partnered with Stream Recycle to add safe recycling of electronics to this event.

“Personal information contained in old documents can be a gold mine for identity thieves,” according to Michelle Delgado, BSA Fraud Analyst at Tampa Bay Federal. “Securely disposing of sensitive documents can significantly decrease your risk of identity theft and exposure to fraud.”

Since identity theft has been at an all time high, this community event helps highlight the importance of taking preventative measures to protect your identity.
