The Watermark at Trinity hires two new directors to oversee resident, associate engagement

September 11, 2019 by Post

TAMPA, Fla. (September 11, 2019) — The Watermark at Trinity, an assisted living and memory care community in Trinity, Fla., has hired seasoned professionals David Kendrick and Merav Halevi as Associate Engagement Director and Resident Engagement Director, respectively. The positions are new additions to the community, which is committed to creating an extraordinary community where people thrive.

“Resident engagement is incredibly important in the senior living profession, and we’ve found that one of the best ways to keep residents engaged is to hire associates who are also engaged,” said David Schupack, Executive Director of The Watermark at Trinity. “These new roles will ensure that both residents and associates are happy, healthy, connected and engaged in fostering a nurturing environment where everyone thrives.”

In his role as Associate Engagement Director, Kendrick will develop programs to recognize employee achievements, promote wellness and improve overall engagement to create a positive workplace where associates thrive. He has 17 years of experience in healthcare HR leadership, most recently serving as Director of Human Resources for MHC Gracepoint Behavioral Health.

“Watermark Retirement Communities have a unique company culture that focuses as much on associates as it does residents,” said Kendrick. “I’m thrilled by the opportunity to foster this culture locally and help shape the Watermark vision at The Watermark at Trinity.”

Halevi, who joins the community as Resident Engagement Director, will spend her time at The Watermark at Trinity’s forthcoming independent living community. In this role, she will work closely with the Executive Director to oversee resident engagement and satisfaction and manage key aspects of day-to-day operations, including community life, programs and events, transportation, concierge and more. She has 17 years of experience in human resources, coaching and business management and previous served as the Human Resource Director and Business Office Manager for The Watermark at Trinity.

“I love seeing happy and thriving individuals and being part of that culture,” said Halevi. “I am very much looking forward to enhancing the lives of our residents in our new independent living neighborhood.”

Construction on the new independent living community is currently underway at The Watermark at Trinity. It is expected to open later this year.
