Roger Germann, President and CEO of the Florida Aquarium, to Speak at UT on Oct. 3

Tampa – On Thursday, Oct. 3, The University of Tampa will welcome Roger Germann, president and CEO of the Florida Aquarium, as part of the Sykes College of Business’ TECO Energy Center for Leadership Speaker Series. Germann’s presentation, ““Not-for-Profit” is a Title Only: We are a Business,” begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Board Room on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center, and is free and open to the public.

Germann has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the private and public sector, and is recognized as one of the zoological community’s top leaders and strategists. Since joining the Florida Aquarium in June 2017, he has actively raised the profile of the aquarium, which was recognized by USA Todayreaders as the second-best aquarium in North America.

Germann served as executive vice president for more than 16 years at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. He has also served in several national leadership positions, including chair of the Association of Zoos & Aquarium’s Aquarium Affairs Committee, as well as being a founding member of the Aquarium Conservation Partnership.
