St. Pete Disaster Relief Nonprofit Preparing Response To Dorian – PILOTS NEEDED

September 1, 2019 by Post

St. Pete pilot, Jennifer Lockwood, created a successful grassroots USVI hurricane relief effort in 2017 following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

From that effort she started a local non-profit, Sol Relief, that provides immediate disaster relief via a network of volunteer pilots, private planes and partnerships with other non-profits.

Jennifer & Sol Relief are currently working to position supplies, planes and volunteer pilots to respond to areas hit by Dorian. Operations are based at Albert Whitted Airport in Downtown St. Pete and flights are expected to begin Tuesday or Wednesday.

At this time, they are in need of volunteer pilots and monetary donations to support their mission.

Sol Relief, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit.
