Host & Producer of “This American Life” Comes to the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater for “Seven Things I’ve Learned: An Evening with Ira Glass”
St. Petersburg, FLA (August 27, 2019) – Host and producer of the “This American Life”, Ira Glass, comes to the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater for an evening of storytelling. The performance will take place on Saturday, January 25th at 8:00 pm. Ira Glass is the creator, producer, and host of This American Life, the iconic weekly public radio program with millions of listeners around the world. Using audio clips, music, and video, Ira Glass delivers a unique talk; sharing lessons from his life and career in storytelling: What inspires him to create? What drives his passion? How have failures and successes informed his decisions? During his presentation, Ira Glass will mix stories live onstage and help his audience better follow the creative process of one of our foremost storytellers.
Tickets go on sale to the public on Monday, September 9th at 12:00 pm and are $23.50 and $153.50. A limited number of VIP packages will be available and include complimentary beer, wine, light hors d’oeuvres, and reception with Ira Glass. The first (3) rows of the pit: reserved for students only. Must purchase directly from the Mahaffey Theater box office with valid student ID. Members of WUSF and Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts can begin purchasing tickets on Monday, Aug. 26 at 10:00 am.
