BONITA SPRINGS, FL. (August 26, 2019) County commissioners, community members, library staff, and the DeAngelis Diamond team gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Bonita Springs Public Library with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Situated at 10560 Reynolds Street, this two-story 31,000-square-foot public library stands in a new location on a whole city block in Downtown Bonita Springs.
The new space has something for everyone, by providing materials for all ages in a variety of formats. Designed with the local community in mind, the library features 50 public internet computers, plenty of seating, tables and reading nooks, several meeting and study spaces, along with separate gaming and programming areas for children and teens.
“This is way more than steel and concrete and glass, this is a facility that will impact generations to come and we couldn’t be prouder to have been involved,” says DeAngelis Diamond Co-Founder, John DeAngelis. Since breaking ground in March of 2018, 600 workers worked on this project, helping complete it in an impressive timespan.
DeAngelis Diamond simultaneously built the new 26,390-square-foot North Fort Myers Public Library, which opened earlier this August. As well as completing the South Regional and Golden Gate public libraries in Collier County, DeAngelis Diamond has previously constructed numerous public buildings, such as government centers and fire rescue facilities, throughout the state of Florida.
