West Florida Thoracic Surgery Welcomes Dr. Mathew Ninan
Trinity, Florida (August 12, 2019) – West Florida Thoracic Surgery is pleased to welcome Mathew Ninan, MD, MS, FRCS (C/TH), FACS, FETCS, MSCI, an expert in the surgical treatment of lung cancer and other surgical procedures involving chest organs. Dr. Ninan practices at West Florida Thoracic Surgery, 9332 State Road 54, Suite 405, Trinity, Florida 34655.
Dr. Ninan joins the HCA West Florida team of surgeons bringing an impressive list of accomplishments including being named a U.S. News & World Report top doctor for several years. Dr. Ninan specializes in surgery of the lungs, esophagus, and other chest organs including upper abdominal surgery of the esophagus such as anti-reflux surgery, hiatal hernias and achalasia. He is an expert on the surgical treatment of lung cancer and has been performing robotic minimally lung surgery since 2008.
Dr. Ninan completed his surgical training in London, United Kingdom, and his cardiothoracic training from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. He also completed advanced fellowship in thoracic surgery at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. He is the recipient of many international, national and local awards. In fact, U.S. News & World Report listed Dr. Ninan as a top doctor in the US from 2006 through 2016 and as a top doctor for cancer in those same years. He was awarded the Naruke Award for Excellence in Lung Cancer, by the International Society for Lung Cancer in 2011.
