August 1, 2019 – Clearwater, FL. McCormick Stevenson Corporation is pleased to announce its recognition as one of 50 Florida Companies to Watch for 2019, a statewide competition that identifies companies expected to see significant growth over the next several years. Honorees were selected from more than 500 companies across the state of Florida vying for the prestigious recognition, in association with the Edward Lowe Foundation, a nonprofit organization championing entrepreneurship. McCormick Stevenson’s management team, competitive market position and strong community involvement were among several factors evaluated for the award. Melissa McCormick, Chairman and CEO remarked: “We are honored to be recognized as a Florida Company to Watch and we are proud of our fantastic team who drives our ongoing success.”
For over 20 years McCormick Stevenson has maintained a clear focus on service to the US Military and Allied Forces through the design and development of world-class weapons systems. The durability and resilience the company has enjoyed over those two decades, as well as the rapid growth it has experienced over the past several years, are both a direct result of that focus. McCormick Stevenson is proud to have earned the right to serve as trusted partners to several of America’s most admired defense companies.
“These stand-out companies are all led by entrepreneurs and have demonstrated their capacity and intent to grow,” said Dr. Tom O’Neal, GrowFL executive director. “They also all have critical intellectual property or a niche position that gives them a competitive edge in their markets,” he said.
Florida Companies to Watch recognizes second-stage companies, which are defined as those with 6 to 150 full-time employees and between $750,000 and $100 million in annual revenue. From 2015 through 2018, these companies generated over $900 million in revenue.
Companies named to the list will be officially recognized at the 9th Annual Florida Companies to Watch Celebration on November 14, 2019 at the Hard Rock Live, Universal City Walk in Orlando, FL.
