Suncoast Credit Union Names New Southern Region Business Lending Manager

TAMPA, Fla. (July 18, 2019) – Suncoast Credit Union announces the hiring of Jon Hornung as the Southern Region Business Lending Manager for its commercial lending department. 

Hornung joins Suncoast to help oversee its rapidly expanding commercial division south of Sarasota and Naples. His responsibilities include developing relationship strategies, optimizing revenue operations and building internal and external relationships. He began leading this Suncoast team on June, 17, 2019. 

With more than 27 years experience in financial services specializing in commercial banking, Hornung began his career as a branch manager with US Bank. Hornung then joined Fifth Third Bank as a business banker and accelerated to management when he was hand selected to join their commercial banking team and was promoted to commercial team leader. Most recently, Hornung was senior vice president at Huntington National Bank where he spent almost nine years in this role.
