July 18, 2019 by Post

Tampa, FL, July 12, 2019

Port of Tampa Maritime Industries Association (PTMIA) is pleased to introduce the association’s Officers & Directors elected for 2019-2020. These leaders ensure the organization meets the needs of its members so PTMIA can fulfill its mission of supporting the stakeholders in the Port of Tampa and increasing public awareness of the important role port businesses play in the local economy.

Tim Shusta, President from 2007 to 2019, remains on the Board.  He stated: “Serving as President of the PTMIA has presented some interesting issues and challenges.  I appreciate the support I have had from our members and look forward working with Bill to continue to advocate for our members and the Hillsborough Port District.”

Incoming President, Bill Kuzmick is excited about the growth of the Port of Tampa and is looking forward to continuing collaborative efforts with Port Tampa Bay CEO Paul Anderson and his team to help to increase the number of ships calling at the port and increase cargo tonnage.

“Tim Shusta has been the backbone of the PTMIA for more than twelve years and has guided the organization through some critical times, helping to make the Port of Tampa a more vibrant economic driver under his leadership.  I’m honored to take the reins from Tim and look forward to continued success with a tremendously talented and dedicated Board of Directors.” stated Bill Kuzmick, Incoming President.
