Brooksville, FL (July 15, 2019) Florida’s Adventure Coast Visitors Bureau is pleased to invite applications for local special event grant funding. This will be the one and only opportunity to request grant funding for local events planned between October 1, 2019 and September 30, 2020.
For consideration, completed applications must be received by close of business Monday August 5. Oral presentation to the Tourism Development Council will be heard at the September 8 TDC meeting, held at the Brooksville – Tampa Bay Regional Airport Administration Building, 15800 Flight Path Drive, Brooksville, 34604.
The TDC grant funding application is designed for download and digital completion. Access to the application packet is also available from the bottom navigation of FloridasAdventureCoast.com.
Applicants should download the form, type question responses directly within the form, save as event name and – if sending electronically – submit as an email attachment to email@example.com. Please note: handwritten applications will not be accepted.
The primary purpose for the Tourism Special Event Grant Funding Program is to provide funding to local organizations for marketing of special events that promote Florida’s Adventure Coast, Brooksville – Weeki Wachee as a tourist destination. Funds received pursuant to the Special Event Grant Funding Program must be used for expenditures associated with marketing and promoting the event to visitors and guests outside of Hernando County, with the goal of encouraging overnight visitors.
