Tampa, Florida (July 11, 2019) –Modelithics has released a new version of the Modelithics® Library™ for Sonnet®, version 19.2, featuring compatibility with the latest version of Sonnet (v17), access to the Modelithics Substrate Library™, and over seventy-five (75) new models added to the library!
Designers using Sonnet and Modelithics can now choose from over 350 models, from over 30 popular vendors, representing over 17,000 individual parts. All capacitor, inductor and resistor models in the CLR Library™ have the unique scaling capabilities of Modelithics Microwave Global Models™, such as substrate scaling, part value scaling and pad scaling. These scalable models provide for the most accurate co-simulations available for combining surface mount component models with full-wave EM simulations of interconnects on single and multi-layer board scenarios. The models can easily be included in new designs by browsing and selecting the desired component model from the Modelithics user library within the Sonnet design tool. New CLR models added in the v19.2 library include models from many of Modelithics’ Vendor Partners (MVP’s) including capacitors from AVX, Knowles (DLI and Syfer), Murata, Passive Plus, Presidio and Würth Elektronik, inductors from Coilcraft, Knowles (Syfer) and Würth Elektronik, and resistors from International Manufacturing Services (IMS).
New attenuator models are available in the SLC (system level component) Library™ for devices from Aeroflex, ATC, AVX, Barry, IMS, Mini-Circuits and Smiths Interconnect. New S-parameter (file-based) models have also been added for Aeroflex attenuators, Gowanda and Vanguard inductors, Murata capacitors and State of the Art resistors.
The Modelithics Substrate Library is now part of the installation with the new release. The substrate library contains over 25 specific substrate definitions for various popular materials such as Alumina, Rogers, Quartz, Taconic and others. The substrate properties are derived from multiple measurements performed by Modelithics using these materials.
30-day trial of Modelithics models is available by request from the Sonnet MVP

About Modelithics, Inc.
Modelithics, Inc. (www.Modelithics.com) was formed in 2001 to address the industry-wide need for high-accuracy RF and microwave active and passive simulation models for use in Electronic Design Automation (EDA). Modelithics’ premium product is the Modelithics® COMPLETE Library, which includes the CLR Library™, containing measurement-based Microwave Global Models™ for a multitude of commercially-available passive component families, the NLD Library™ (non-linear diode models)the NLT Library™ (non-linear transistor models), and the SLC Library™ (system level component models). The new Modelithics COMPLETE+3D component library is also available to enable full-wave EM simulations of components, connectors and packages within ANSYS HFSS. Modelithics’ services also address a wide range of custom RF and microwave measurement and modeling needs. Modelithics® is a registered trademark of Modelithics, Inc. Microwave Global Models™, CLR Library™, NLD Library™, NLT Library™, and the SLC Library™ are also trademarks of Modelithics, Inc. The Modelithics Vendor Partner Program allows for collaboration and open communication during the development of advanced data sets and models for commercially available microwave components and devices, with flexible sponsorship and distribution arrangements for the resulting data and models. An example of such an arrangement is the Modelithics Qorvo GaN Library, a fully sponsored library distributed for free by Modelithics under sponsorship of Qorvo®. Modelithics maintains a measurement lab capable of highly accurate precision measurements for characterization of all types of RF, microwave and millimeter-wave electronic components.
