Job Connection Center Now Open Inside Riverview Goodwill Store

July 11, 2019 by Post

Center offers free assistance to job seekers and employers

Goodwill Industries-Suncoast, Inc. has opened a Job Connection Center inside its new Superstore at 10739 Big Bend Rd. in Riverview offering free services to job seekers and employers.
The center helps job seekers access resources and develop skills that can lead to greater employment success. Goodwill employment specialists offer guidance through the career exploration and job search process. The centers also offer computer access, assistance with cover letter and resume development, and skill builder workshops on topics such as Job Seeking Techniques, Mastering the Interview and Computer Basics.

In addition, the center is a place for job seekers or others to simply get answers regarding local services – such as where to find childcare, transportation, and training.

The center also assists local businesses by hosting recruitment events in the adjacent Community Room.

The Riverview Job Connection Center is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Visit www.goodwill-suncoast.org/job-connection-center/ for more information and a schedule of workshops. To inquire about Job Connection Center services, e-mail JobConnection@goodwill-suncoast.com or call 727-321-7337.

The Riverview location is the second Job Connection Center operated by Goodwill-Suncoast. The first is inside the Goodwill store at 2550 34th St. N. in St. Petersburg.

Job Connection Centers are funded by Goodwill through proceeds from donations and sales at Goodwill stores.

Goodwill Industries-Suncoast is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to help people achieve their full potential through the dignity and power of work. The organization’s successful donated goods retail operation helps support its human services in 10 counties in West Central Florida including employment services, training and job placement for people with disabilities, a children’s literacy program, affordable apartment communities for seniors and people with disabilities, and community corrections programs.
