Hudson, Florida (July 5, 2019) – Recently Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point’s Volunteer Association awarded a $7,000 gift toward the association’s scholarship endowment at Pasco-Hernando State College. The endowment, established in 2012, enables Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point’s Volunteer Association to assist recent high school graduates enrolling at PHSC and who actively volunteer at the hospital.
Many young philanthropists in the community have been given the opportunity to attend college due to the financial assistance of Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point Volunteer Association, Inc. As a result of their fundraising efforts, over $250,000 in college scholarships to Pasco and Hernando County high school graduates have been awarded since 1983.
Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point’s Volunteer Association, Inc, was established to support health initiatives improving access to healthcare for local residents while promoting the mission of Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, also a longtime partner of PHSC. The hospital recently supported the PHSC Foundation Fishing Tournament, providing three scholarships that will be awarded during the 2019-20 academic year.
