Tampa, FL– Fifty percent of Tampa’s businesses are minority-owned, but many are not getting the publicity they deserve. In order to change that, STRIDE Media Group is hosting an event aimed to help ethnically diverse audiences earn more publicity for their businesses. The workshop will be held on Thursday, July 11 at 11am at SecureSet in Ybor City.
In this workshop for minority entrepreneurs (or any minority in business), you’ll learn how to craft the perfect “pitch” for various media outlets in a way that actually gets results. Leading the training will be Josh Talkington, a former television news veteran, and Danielle Bayard Jackson, a publicist and former journalism teacher. Together they own STRIDE Media Group– a public relations agency serving women, minorities, and companies passionate about diversity.
Workshop participants can expect to leave with::
* A customized “pitch” that you can send immediately after the workshop,
* An 8-page media pitching booklet,
* Two unique story angles for your specific business,
* A personal follow-up phone call from STRIDE Media Group!
This is the first workshop of STRIDE Media Group’s “Summer Pitch Series”. Upcoming workshops will train “solopreneurs” and non-profits.
Be prepared to learn actionable, behind-the-scenes tips that will get you featured in everything from local news and magazines to podcasts and newspapers. Lunch will be provided and participants are encouraged to bring laptops (or cell phones that connect to wi-fi).
