TAMPA (June 10, 2019)—Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, fresh off of her first legislative session and a trade mission to Israel, will speak at the Tampa Tiger Bay Club on Friday, June 21.
The luncheon meeting will be at the Chester Ferguson Law Center, 1610 N Tampa St. Lunch is served at 11:40 a.m. and the program begins promptly at noon.
As the only Democrat elected to statewide office, Fried is considered the titular head of Florida’s Democratic Party. She spent several days in Israel last month, meeting with agricultural research groups and agriculture-related businesses. During the Legislature’s recently completed 2019 regular session, Fried secured increased funding for the state’s concealed weapons program and led efforts to establish a new state hemp program.
